The puppies continue to grow, and we're doing more with them and exposing them to more new experiences daily. Last Sunday, we all went on a picnic in the country. It was quite a task getting them all loaded into a crate and into the pickup, as well as getting all their treats, poop bags, water buckets and toys packed into one big package--which I then left sitting on the front porch!
It was worth the work, though. The picnic was for the Heart of Ohio Great Danes Club. All the breeders oohed and ahhhed over the puppies, and showered them with compliments. They liked all the puppies, including No. 8, whom we've decided to keep for our own, but they liked Nos. 4 and 9 best. Puppy No. 4 is now sold, and will soon be traveling to her new owner in Italy. I've been busy trying to take care of all the international paper work and contacting the appropriate veterinarians.
Speaking of veterinarians, the puppies get their next set of vaccinations this Friday, which means another outing for them all. Fortunately, we've already begun to teach them walking on a leash, which means we won't have to carry each of them out to the pickup truck, which has become quite a chore. Its amazing how big they've gotten, compared to how tiny they all were when they were born.
